Preparing comprehensive financial projections/budgets for internal or external use is a valuable exercise for any business.

Projections and budgets typically include month-to-month, or quarter-to-quarter estimates of sales, cost of goods sold, operating expenses and profitability (Income Statement or Profit & Loss).
